Alvin and the chipmunks used to be called, Alvin, Simon and
Theodore. The Three Chipmunks. Comparing the old comic characters to the
updated one in the movies there are a lot of differences. Their outfits have
all changed; Theodore gained some weight. While Simon apparently had a hard
time seeing and needed glasses. The only thing that’s still the same is the A
on Alvin’s shirt was carried over into his new character. Personally in the
comic its hard to tell the difference between Theodore and Simon by looking at
the characters. Now that they’ve changed the features its easier to distinguish.
